Profile
KUMI, whose reported birth name is Takei Miku, is a Japanese rapper and performer in Baby DONT Cry. Born in Saitama Prefecture, she is one of the group’s two Japanese members. Her voice and rhythmic delivery are particularly important to the mix of sung hooks and assertive phrases in the group’s Baby Rock concept.
Before joining P NATION’s debut lineup, she trained in dance in Japan. Her group’s early work uses electric-guitar energy and confident statements to move beyond the standard soft and innocent image expected of young performers.
Kumi appeared with the four members in F Girl in June 2025, followed by I DONT CARE in November. The March 2026 EP AFTER CRY gave the quartet more melodic and emotional material, including the lead song Bittersweet and the contrasting prerelease Shapeshifter.
The group’s Japan-facing plans, including its forthcoming January 2027 Japanese EP, are significant for her as one of its Japanese members. Those announced group projects should not be misrepresented as solo music. No independently distributed Kumi solo album was verified.
