KANG WOO JIN (강우진) is a South Korean singer and performer born on June 7, 2007. He is the younger member of FNC Entertainment’s two-member act FLARE U, which formed after he and Taiwanese singer CHUEI LI YU participated in Mnet’s BOYS II PLANET in 2025.

Woo Jin’s background includes an interest in singing, guitar and live performance. His television appearance introduced his vocal tone and stage manner to a wider audience. Before the launch of FLARE U, he and Chuei appeared in interviews, radio programmes and fan events while preparing a new type of boy-band format with just two members rather than the usual larger lineup.

FLARE U officially debuted on May 13, 2026 with YOUTH ERROR and the hybrid-pop single WAY 2 U. Their first album uses the metaphor of youthful mistakes and two contrasting people finding a shared light; Woo Jin is an important part of its harmonies, choreography and live performances. He described his debut at the Seoul showcase as the realisation of a long-held dream.

In September 2026 the act expanded its Japanese activities with YOUTH ERROR (Japan Edition). Its second mini album, LOVEHOOD, arrived October 14, 2026, led by Bloom. With warmer synthpop melodies and the theme of first love, the release gave Woo Jin a chance to show a different emotional range and a more nuanced performance style.

In October interviews Woo Jin reflected that a comeback had a different kind of pressure from the original debut; he wanted to provide a better performance while preserving the chemistry fans had come to recognise. His experiences and group recordings belong to FLARE U’s discography. As of October 31, 2026, a separate independent Kang Woo Jin solo album has not been verified, and this member page therefore does not present any group song as a solo debut.
