TOMORROW X TOGETHER are not promising an uncomplicated love story on their next record. The five-member group will return on November 16 with their ninth mini album, PERFECT STORM, led by “Angel Bite” — a song about holding on to someone even when the world around you feels difficult to love.
The six-song tracklist, released on the group’s official channels on October 24, offers a glimpse of a darker, more direct kind of youth story. And there’s an unexpected detail in the title song’s credits: three members of fellow HYBE group CORTIS — Martin, Juhoon and Seonghyeon — are listed among its contributors.
A love song that doesn’t pretend everything is fine

According to the album description released through BIGHIT MUSIC, “Angel Bite” follows young people who recognise that their circumstances are painful and far from beautiful, yet still want to stay beside the person who matters to them. It is a love song with the edges left in, not a promise that affection magically fixes the world.
That distinction makes the new title intriguing. TXT have spent their career moving through stories about dreams, belonging, temptation and growing up. Here, the central character seems more willing to admit how much ordinary life can hurt. The relationship still matters, but it exists against real pressure rather than an imagined perfect escape.
The album’s songs have not yet been released. Until November 16, those themes describe the announced concept, not a verdict on how the finished music sounds.
What the CORTIS credits tell us — and what they don’t
Martin, Juhoon and Seonghyeon of CORTIS appear in the announced credits for “Angel Bite.” That creates an interesting creative link between artists within the wider HYBE roster, and it brings attention to the new generation’s role behind the scenes as well as on stage.
It would be easy to overstate that detail. A credit confirms participation, but the current announcement does not establish that the three CORTIS members produced the entire song, wrote every lyric or dictated TXT’s musical direction. Their exact individual contributions should be described more specifically only when the full credits clarify them.
What can be said now is that listeners will be paying attention to the collaboration as part of the music, not simply as a promotional pairing. An interesting credit is a reason to listen closely; it is not, by itself, a guarantee of a particular sound.
Two unit songs worth noticing
PERFECT STORM also makes space for new combinations within TXT. Yeonjun, Taehyun and Hueningkai perform “Sweetest Escape,” a song framed as a brief refuge from a world that feels overwhelming. Its promise is modest but personal: for the length of a song, someone can be a place to breathe.
Soobin and Beomgyu take “Touch the Sky,” a track that turns ambition and the desire to succeed into its central image. The two also have lyric credits on the song. That contrast — one unit seeking relief and the other reaching higher — makes the album feel less like six versions of the same emotion.
The closing song, “Hate It or Love It,” deals with the difficulty of giving up what’s familiar in order to change. Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai are credited with lyric participation there. Even before release, the sequence suggests an album concerned with love, pressure, escape and the decision to keep moving.

Why this comeback matters
TXT’s previous album chapters used imagination and fantasy to describe feelings that can be hard to put into words. Based on the announced concept, PERFECT STORM seems to bring those feelings closer to the everyday lives of young listeners: trying to make a living, doubting yourself, wanting someone to stay and wondering when to start over.
There is still plenty to learn once the music arrives — particularly how the group will balance the six songs and what the title track sounds like. The current material gives us a thoughtful tracklist and some intriguing songwriting credits, not a finished review.
Release: PERFECT STORM, TXT’s ninth mini album, is scheduled for November 16, 2026, at 6 p.m. KST. “Angel Bite” is the title track. The full official music video for “Angel Bite” is expected closer to the November 16 release.

KWaveScope insight: “Angel Bite” is a song to watch for two reasons: its refusal to make young love look effortless and the creative connection between TXT and three CORTIS members. The important answer — what that sounds like — arrives on November 16.
