A whistle, a playful finger-gun move and two hand hearts brought IU and ILLIT’s WONHEE together for a dance challenge. The short video, shared through ILLIT’s official channels on October 27, shows the two artists performing the key moves from “You’re Under Arrest” (체포하겠어), just one day after the group’s new mini album was released.
The pairing has a connection beyond the latest comeback. WONHEE covered IU’s “Good Day” at a year-end music festival in 2025, and IU later praised her singing and expressions. This time, IU is the guest joining WONHEE for a few seconds of ILLIT’s own choreography.
Watch: IU and WONHEE dance together
Standing side by side, IU and WONHEE follow the song’s signature whistle move and finger-gun gestures before finishing with hand hearts. The choreography is quick, but the two look at ease together. Their smiles make the clip feel more like a friendly visit than a rehearsed television performance.

A comeback with a whistle at its center

ILLIT released their fifth mini album, BREAK EVEN, on October 26. Its title track, “You’re Under Arrest,” combines a lively electropop sound with a whistle hook that also shapes the point choreography. The hand and arm movements are easy to identify in a social-media clip, giving fans a simple way to join in.
IU follows WONHEE’s lead with relaxed movements, while WONHEE brings the energy of ILLIT’s comeback performance. The contrast is part of the video’s appeal: an established solo artist stepping into a younger group’s dance challenge without making the moment overly formal.
Their “Good Day” connection
The meeting follows an earlier musical exchange. WONHEE covered IU’s “Good Day” at the 2025 MBC year-end music festival, taking on the song’s notoriously difficult high-note section. IU subsequently said she had watched the performance and complimented WONHEE’s singing and expressions.
That earlier exchange gives the new video an extra layer of meaning. WONHEE performed IU’s music onstage; months later, IU joined her to dance to ILLIT’s latest song. It is a simple example of how a short comeback challenge can bring artists from different generations into the same conversation.

The video is not an announcement of an IU–ILLIT duet or a joint release. It is a brief, cheerful performance that brings the two singers’ earlier musical connection back into view.
