TREASURE released its digital single “SHOCK” at 6 p.m. KST on November 2, 2026, alongside an official music video. The electronic hip-hop track builds on the group’s recent move toward a harder-edged sound, combining heavy beats, prominent synthesizers and sharp rhythmic shifts.

The release also follows a busy period of live performances. TREASURE completed its recent fan-concert run in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in late September. In the weeks leading up to “SHOCK,” YG shared individual visual photos, a credits poster and an MV teaser, gradually revealing the track’s heavier concept.
Inside the sound: synths, sharp rap and a 1TYM reference
“SHOCK” pairs pulsing electronic beats with layered synthesizers and sudden changes in rhythm. The rap-driven sections put TREASURE’s growing hip-hop influences at the forefront.
The lyrics reference 1TYM’s 2003 hit “Hot 뜨거”, connecting TREASURE’s new release to an earlier generation of YG hip-hop. The reference is a lyrical tribute, not a remake. BIGTONE and P.K. are among the credited contributors to the song.
In comments released with the comeback, TREASURE said they hoped the song would deliver a positive surprise to fans and show the energy they had built up through their recent activities. The group also thanked TREASURE MAKER for supporting its music and live shows.
