SEVENTEEN
Thirteen-member PLEDIS Entertainment group built around self-production, three core performance units and one of K-pop’s most enduring full-group identities.
Profile
SEVENTEEN debuted on May 26, 2015 with the mini album 17 CARAT. The official Japan profile continues to list all 13 members: S.COUPS, JEONGHAN, JOSHUA, JUN, HOSHI, WONWOO, WOOZI, THE 8, MINGYU, DK, SEUNGKWAN, VERNON and DINO.
The name reflects the group’s structure: 13 members + 3 core units + 1 team. The Hip-Hop Team, Vocal Team and Performance Team remain central to how SEVENTEEN divides creative roles, while members also participate in songwriting, production and choreography.
SEVENTEEN entered its military-service era without changing its 13-member identity. Group, unit and individual projects have continued in parallel. The fifth full album HAPPY BURSTDAY arrived in May 2025, followed in 2026 by the digital single Tiny Light and several unit projects including DxS, V8 and Picheolin-related releases.
On July 13, 2026, PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed that all 13 members had agreed to a second contract renewal, with members currently serving completing formal steps in line with their military-service conditions.
