BTS

Seven members, a decade-spanning catalog and a global fan community that helped push K-pop into stadiums, major award shows and the center of the international pop conversation.

Profile

BTS debuted in June 2013 under BIGHIT MUSIC with seven members: RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. The group began with a hip-hop-centered sound and lyrics focused on school pressure, ambition and the expectations placed on young people.

As their catalog expanded, BTS moved through pop, R&B, EDM, rock, trap, alternative and more experimental production. Major eras including the School Trilogy, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, WINGS, Love Yourself, MAP OF THE SOUL, BE and Proof built a connected narrative around youth, identity, fear, success, loneliness, self-acceptance and personal growth.

In 2026, BTS returned to full-group album activities with their fifth studio album ARIRANG, released on March 20. The era introduced new group videos including “SWIM,” “2.0,” “Hooligan” and “NORMAL,” and expanded into the ARIRANG World Tour. The return marked a new chapter after the members’ period of military service and solo-focused releases, while keeping all seven members at the center of the group’s current work.

Member participation in songwriting and production became an important part of the group’s identity. RM, SUGA and j-hope have long contributed heavily to writing and production, while all seven members developed increasingly distinct musical roles across both group and solo releases.

BTS’s international rise included sold-out stadium performances, No. 1 albums and singles in the United States, appearances at the Grammy Awards and major honors from Billboard, the American Music Awards and Korean award ceremonies. Their cultural reach also extended beyond music through the LOVE MYSELF campaign and speeches connected to the United Nations.

The group’s fandom is known as ARMY. Each member now also has a substantial solo catalog, and the individual profiles below open in separate pages with solo music, profile information and social links.
