G-DRAGON
A songwriter, rapper and performer whose solo identity grows out of—and beyond—BIGBANG.
Profile
G-DRAGON is the stage name of Kwon Ji-yong, a South Korean rapper, singer and songwriter born on August 18, 1988. He debuted with BIGBANG in 2006 and developed a parallel solo career with Heartbreaker in 2009.
His solo catalog includes Coup d’Etat and the Kwon Ji Yong EP. These releases provide different entry points into his work: large-scale pop production, rap-driven tracks and more intimate songs sit alongside one another.
In February 2025, he released his third solo studio album, Übermensch. Its songs include “POWER,” “HOME SWEET HOME” and “TOO BAD,” the last featuring Anderson .Paak. A world tour followed, extending this new chapter to international stages.
