Profile

BIGBANG began in 2006 and developed a recognisable sound across hip-hop, dance-pop and vocal-led songs. The group’s identity comes from the contrast between its members: G-DRAGON’s rap and songwriting, TAEYANG’s R&B-oriented vocals, and DAESUNG’s powerful singing. The current group continues as these three members; historical recordings and videos also feature its earlier lineup.

For a first listen, start with “Lies” to hear the melodic approach that shaped their early breakthrough. Then compare the club energy of “FANTASTIC BABY” and “BANG BANG BANG” with the restrained storytelling of “LOSER” and “Still Life.” These songs show why one description cannot capture the whole catalogue: BIGBANG can move from a crowd-sized hook to a reflective ballad while keeping each singer’s character audible.

The members’ individual releases are a separate part of their careers. This page keeps the focus on BIGBANG’s group recordings and shared milestones. A member’s solo song featuring other members should be read according to its original release credit rather than automatically treated as a new group single.

In August 2026, the trio released the group single BiiiG. Their twentieth-anniversary activities also included the XX : COSMOS world tour. Yonhap reported the opening Goyang concerts in August, describing the balance between individual performances and the trio’s group set.
