Profile
TUIDE (튜이드) is a seven-member South Korean girl group introduced by ABD (A Bold Dream), a HYBE MUSIC GROUP label dedicated to developing girl groups. The members are SEOHEE, SEOYEON, ELENA, JIA, SAKI, SEAH and YI HANI. HYBE unveiled the group’s name on July 20, 2026. Derived from the phrase “Tune the Tide,” TUIDE suggests seven different personalities finding a shared rhythm without giving up their individual voices.
That idea is central to the group’s musical identity. Rather than building every song around a single familiar K-pop sound, TUIDE was introduced through a style the members call “soultronic”—a blend of the warmth and expressive melodies of soul music with electronic production, R&B textures and an easygoing groove. The result aims to feel lively without losing a sense of space and relaxation. In debut interviews, the members described both individuality and togetherness as important parts of the group’s approach.
Before their recording debut, TUIDE held TUIDE EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW [PLAYGROUND] on August 1–2, 2026, giving early audiences a chance to encounter the group’s music and concept. Their first official release followed on August 24, 2026, when ABD issued the five-track EP TUNE & PLAY, with distribution credited to YG PLUS. The record presents the group’s opening chapter through music that draws on several generations and cultural influences.
The EP contains “ABD,” “SUN KISS,” “Echo,” “Flip-Flop Girl” and “GRLS.” Its lead single, “SUN KISS,” introduces TUIDE through a bright, unhurried sound that places the members’ voices and performance at the center. “GRLS” offers another side of the group’s early presentation, while “Echo” and “Flip-Flop Girl” broaden the release beyond the title song. The full sequence is documented in ABD’s official album discography and Korean music distribution listings.
The project involved production work associated with HAN SUNGSOO and music producers GroovyRoom. At the August 24 debut showcase at Seoul’s YES24 Live Hall, the members spoke about making music with a distinct but welcoming feel. Their comments emphasized how varied musical tastes and cultural backgrounds could come together in one team, rather than having seven performers follow an identical template.
TUIDE’s lineup brings together members with connections to South Korea, Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom. Those backgrounds are part of the group’s international outlook, but each member is introduced through her individual profile and performances. The member links below lead to separate biographies; independent solo releases are not attributed to any member without a verified individual release.
Following the debut, TUIDE began expanding its activities for Japanese audiences. Its Japan official website published October 2026 announcements for TUNE & PLAY special events, including an all-member special-card handover event scheduled for December 10, 2026. These are announced upcoming activities, not events already completed. They illustrate the group’s plans to connect with listeners beyond its initial South Korean promotions.
As of November 2026, TUNE & PLAY remains the group’s verified debut EP. KWaveScope distinguishes that official discography from unreleased music, informal covers and individual solo releases. Official videos, group social channels, news references and individual member pages are collected below.
