IVE’s new music has found a home in two very different settings: an intimate live showcase and the striking exterior of Seoul’s Dongdaemun Design Plaza. The group gave fans an early performance of songs from its new era at Spotify DIVE ACADEMY on October 19, while the city is taking the promotion into public space with DIVE IN TO LIGHT.
The first songs on stage
At the Spotify event, IVE presented “Looks Can Kill” and “Girls Girls Girls.” The former had been released on October 19, while the performance also offered a glimpse of the mini-album scheduled for October 26. The live setting gave the audience a chance to experience the songs through movement and performance, not merely through a streaming release.
From Spotify to Dongdaemun Design Plaza
Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Design Foundation are hosting the DIVE IN TO LIGHT promotion at DDP from October 19 through November 30. The building’s exterior displays and surrounding public areas make it possible for visitors to encounter IVE’s visual identity outside a concert venue or social feed.
What visitors can see
The city’s schedule includes special video and lighting features connected to the album, with additional effects planned from October 26. A dedicated promotional booth is scheduled through November 1, alongside themed photo opportunities and limited-time items at participating facilities. The exact experience depends on the day, so visitors should check the city’s latest notice before travelling.
A comeback that doubles as a city experience
What makes the two events interesting is the contrast. The Spotify programme brings the performers closer to an audience, whereas DDP turns the release into a visual installation accessible to people already exploring Seoul. Together they suggest how a K-pop comeback can connect music, live performance and urban tourism without treating these separate events as a single show.
