Dreamcatcher

Seven members, a rock-driven K-pop identity and a long-running catalog that connects dark fantasy, metal and electronic production with an unusually international touring history.

Profile

Dreamcatcher debuted on January 13, 2017 with JIU, SUA, SIYEON, HANDONG, YOOHYEON, DAMI and GAHYUN. The group established a distinctive place in K-pop by building title tracks around rock guitars, electronic production, horror-fantasy imagery and tightly connected album narratives.

Five members had previously promoted as MINX before the team was reorganized and relaunched as Dreamcatcher with Handong and Gahyun. The change created the seven-member lineup that has remained the group’s core identity.

The group’s catalog moved from the Nightmare era into the Dystopia and Apocalypse series, then the VillainS and VirtuouS releases. Songs such as “Chase Me,” “Scream,” “BOCA,” “MAISON,” “BONVOYAGE” and “JUSTICE” show how Dreamcatcher has kept rock at the center while moving through metal, EDM, pop and cinematic production.

Dreamcatcher earned its first Korean music-show trophy in 2022 with “MAISON.” The group also built a strong overseas audience through repeated tours in Europe, North America and other international markets.

In March 2025, Handong, Dami and Gahyun ended their exclusive contracts with Dreamcatcher Company while confirming that they would continue participating in Dreamcatcher group activities. JiU, SuA and Yoohyeon moved into the unit UAU, Siyeon expanded into the rock band ChRocktikal, and Handong, Dami and Gahyun developed separate individual activities.

As of September 2026, the official Dreamcatcher profile still lists all seven members. The latest full-group Korean mini album remains VirtuouS, while 2025–2026 activity has focused heavily on units, band work, solo releases and acting alongside the continuing seven-member group identity.
