Profile
JIU is Dreamcatcher’s leader and one of the five members who first debuted together as MINX before the team was rebuilt as Dreamcatcher. She combines a leadership role with vocals and dance, and Korean profile references also note her participation in lyric, composition and arrangement work.
Her more recent activity extends beyond the full group through UAU, the Dreamcatcher unit formed with SuA and Yoohyeon in 2025.
Pre-Debut Background
Before Dreamcatcher, JIU trained for roughly two and a half years and debuted as a member of MINX in 2014. She later joined YG Entertainment’s MIXNINE project, leaving the program early because of schedule conflicts.
Her profile is closely associated with Daejeon, where she grew up and completed high school before her idol career developed.
