DAYOUNG is a vocalist and independent solo recording artist in WJSN. After debuting with the group in February 2016 and performing in WJSN CHOCOME, she began preparing a solo identity with a contemporary R&B and dance-pop influence distinct from the group’s music.

Her first solo single album, gonna love me, right?, appeared on September 9, 2025, led by the single body. The record was an individually credited single album, not a WJSN group or unit project. Her follow-up digital single What’s a girl to do arrived on April 7, 2026 with a Starship Entertainment music video. Interviews describe a focus on confidence and self-definition.

Dayoung has contributed to WJSN’s vocal and performance lineup and has worked in broadcasting and entertainment. Her independently credited music is presented separately from WJSN and CHOCOME releases so that group, unit and individual credits remain clear.
