EXO debuted under SM Entertainment on April 8, 2012. The group became one of the defining acts of K-pop’s third generation through albums including XOXO, EXODUS, EX’ACT, The War, Don’t Mess Up My Tempo, Obsession and EXIST.
EXO’s nine-member identity consists of XIUMIN, SUHO, LAY, BAEKHYUN, CHEN, CHANYEOL, D.O., KAI and SEHUN. The wider EXO catalog also includes the sub-units EXO-CBX and EXO-SC and eight members with established solo music releases.
For the 2026 studio album REVERXE, the participating lineup was SUHO, LAY, CHANYEOL, D.O., KAI and SEHUN. XIUMIN, BAEKHYUN and CHEN did not participate amid the continuing EXO-CBX contract dispute with SM Entertainment.
