‘Gabriela’ has become KATSEYE’s first entry into Spotify’s Billions Club. The song reached the one-billion-stream mark on October 16, roughly sixteen months after its June 2025 debut—a milestone earned before the group’s October fashion-show appearance.
KATSEYE can now add a billion-stream song to its career milestones. According to Spotify data reported by Billboard Brasil on October 19, ‘Gabriela’ passed one billion cumulative Spotify plays on Friday, October 16, 2026. It is the group’s first recording to enter the platform’s Billions Club.
The milestone comes approximately sixteen months after the track was released on June 20, 2025. That extended climb is central to the story: it was not a one-week viral burst, but a sustained listening audience that kept the song circulating long after its first promotion cycle.
Why ‘Gabriela’ traveled so widely
The single mixes a polished contemporary-pop approach with Latin-inspired acoustic guitar colors. That combination gives the song a personality distinct from much of KATSEYE’s more explosive dance material. It is also an example of a track finding listeners in several music markets without needing to sit neatly within a single national-pop label.
Its accompanying music video borrows imagery from Latin American television melodramas, with a cameo by Jessica Alba. The heightened, theatrical treatment is part of the song’s appeal: rather than simply showing a dance performance, the video leans into storytelling and stylized humor. The two statistics are not interchangeable. The billion figure is a Spotify-only total for one song. It does not represent combined plays across all streaming services, nor is it a count of unique listeners. A single listener may stream a track repeatedly.

‘Gabriela’ was introduced ahead of the group’s EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS and continued to define KATSEYE’s international growth as the members developed newer releases and live activities.
