KATSEYE Releases Lara-Co-Written ‘Unloveu’ Digitally, With an Official Visualizer

Originally a limited-edition bonus track on WILD, KATSEYE’s ‘Unloveu’ received an official digital release dated October 14. Universal Music Japan highlighted the Lara co-write and monochrome visualizer on October 19.

KATSEYE’s ‘Unloveu’ has moved beyond a special-edition bonus track to a standalone digital release. The band’s Japanese label, Universal Music Japan, featured the song in an official announcement dated October 19, 2026, while its own product catalogue records a October 14 digital release.

This distinction is important: October 19 was the date of the Japanese publicity update, not the first day the song became available. The release is now listed separately for downloading or streaming, making a track initially associated with a limited edition of KATSEYE’s third EP WILD easier to find through official channels.

Lara’s involvement and the song’s emotional centre

Member LARA helped write ‘Unloveu’ with songwriters Ross Golan and Amy Allen, according to the label’s release. The song examines the moment someone begins to let go of a relationship that once felt impossible to leave. Its recurring title phrase is central to that process, moving toward emotional separation rather than dramatic retaliation.

Compared with the more energetic songs associated with WILD, the label presents ‘Unloveu’ as comparatively restrained, placing expressive vocals and layered harmonies ahead of a maximalist arrangement. That change of pace gives listeners another angle on the group’s vocal identity while highlighting a member’s direct contribution to the material.

A visualizer, not necessarily a new story-driven MV

An official ‘Unloveu’ visualizer accompanies the release. Universal Music Japan describes a predominantly black-and-white visual treatment: members are seated in a sparse space, and the image of an empty chair remains after they leave. The minimalism reinforces the song’s sense of absence.

It should be identified accurately as a visualizer, not automatically categorized as a narrative music video or a newly released performance film. KWaveScope’s A–Z music section can link the official visualizer under its proper title without creating a duplicate video entry.

Where it fits within WILD

WILD arrived in August 2026 and has continued to figure in charts and international coverage. But the important new development here is the availability of a previously limited bonus song, rather than an entirely new fourth EP or a fresh tour announcement. A broader digital release brings the recording to listeners who did not buy the edition carrying the original bonus track.

The official product listing also shows an e-single package alongside ‘Animal’ in the Japanese store catalogue. Local storefront contents and streaming availability should be confirmed for individual regions. For EYEKONS, ‘Unloveu’ provides a quieter counterpoint within the era while giving LARA’s collaborative songwriting more attention.
