POW is a five-member South Korean boy group introduced by GRID Entertainment in 2023. The lineup consists of YORCH, HYUNBIN, JUNGBIN, DONGYEON and HONG. Its name suggests the sudden energy of an exclamation, reflecting a desire to make an immediate impression through melody, movement and personality. Rather than relying exclusively on hard-edged performance, the group has repeatedly emphasized approachable pop songwriting, bright hooks and emotionally direct storytelling.

The group built anticipation with pre-debut music and visuals, including Favorite, before formally debuting on October 11, 2023. Its early material, including Amazing and Dazzling, introduced POW’s balance of light-hearted dance energy and youthful sentiment. Subsequent tracks such as Boyfriend and Valentine helped the members refine a more melodic style while remaining recognizable as a performance-oriented idol group.

In 2025, the release of Gimme Love and the EP Being Tender marked a period of visible creative development. Being Tender drew particular attention to the group’s softer musical identity and the participation of YORCH and JUNGBIN in shaping the title track. As the members discussed their growth in interviews, songwriting and finding an individual voice became increasingly important alongside choreography and fan performances.

POW continued into 2026 with COME TRUE and the summer release Flavor. In promotional interviews, the group described taking a more active role in creating its music and exploring how its sound could mature without losing the directness that distinguished the debut era. New stage concepts and choreography also challenged the members to perform more cohesively as a team.

POW’s identity is international as well as Korean: YORCH, a Thai performer with an earlier career in acting, connects the group with audiences beyond South Korea. The other members contribute their own vocal, rhythmic, songwriting and dance strengths. Their official fandom, POWER, is central to the group’s concert and fan-community activity. In May 2026, YORCH also released his own single Blow Your Mind, an independent solo artist project that should not be confused with POW’s group releases.
