JOY is a vocalist and performer in Red Velvet’s original four-member debut lineup. She began group activities in August 2014 and became part of the five-member lineup after Yeri joined the following year.

Her independent solo album Hello arrived in May 2021. It is a remake collection, and the title song reinterprets Park Hye Kyung’s earlier recording. That format is distinct from original solo songs, soundtrack credits and full-group Red Velvet music.

Her career also includes acting and other on-screen work. In the group’s 2026 Velvet Summer era, Surfin’ Boy adds a songwriting contribution to her musical history. The member page keeps that credit separate from her independent solo album and her acting career.
