Profile

CLASSy (클라씨), previously styled CLASS:y, is a seven-member South Korean girl group formed through MBC’s audition series My Teenage Girl. HYUNGSEO, CHAEWON, HYEJU, RIWON, JIMIN, BOEUN and SEONYOU debuted together on May 5, 2022, with the EP Y: CLASS IS OVER and its lead single SHUT DOWN.

From the beginning, the group combined energetic pop with performance-focused choreography. Their 2022 release Day & Night featured two contrasting singles, Tick Tick Boom and ZEALOUS. Two years later, Psycho and Beautiful, from LOVE XX, introduced a moodier side of the group’s sound. Together, these releases show how CLASSy’s musical identity developed beyond its upbeat debut.

CLASSy began a new chapter under K-Tigers Entertainment in November 2025. In June 2026, the group officially changed the styling of its name from CLASS:y to CLASSy, removing the colon as part of its rebranding. It returned on June 23 with RE:BOOT [AFTER TEARS] after a hiatus of roughly 19 months between Korean mini-album releases.

The nine-track EP pairs the title song Tear Drop with other group material and a separate solo recording from each of the seven members. CHAEWON contributed lyrics to Tear Drop, while HYUNGSEO and BOEUN also received creative credits on the project. Rather than relying entirely on a single group sound, the album introduces the members’ individual musical styles alongside their shared performances.

CLASSy has also released music for the Japanese market through Universal Music Japan. Its fan community is known as CLIKE:y. The archival group photograph above was taken in 2024, before the agency change and updated name styling.
