IRENE is Red Velvet’s leader and an original member of its 2014 lineup. Her group work combines rap, singing and dance, while her individual catalogue and the IRENE & SEULGI unit provide separate paths through her career.

The two-member unit debuted in 2020 with Monster. Her independent solo debut followed in November 2024 with Like A Flower. These releases belong to different artist configurations: a unit record is not a full-group Red Velvet album, and her solo record is not a unit release.

Her 2026 activities include the solo album Biggest Fan and continuing work with Red Velvet. The group returned with Velvet Summer in August, while the unit also continued Japanese activities. This profile distinguishes those overlapping strands instead of combining them into one discography.
