SEVENTEEN’s JEONGHAN and JOSHUA have made a strong debut as a unit. Their first mini album, DREAMSCAPE, sold 804,949 copies in its opening week, according to South Korea’s Hanteo Chart. In Japan, the album topped both Oricon’s weekly album and combined album rankings. A dance challenge shared ahead of the release has also accumulated more than 260 million views.
Each result comes from a different chart. Hanteo’s 804,949-copy total covers October 19–25, 2026. For the same tracking period, Oricon reported approximately 66,000 physical album sales in Japan and 67,248 points on its combined album ranking, which also accounts for downloads and streaming.

JEONGHAN X JOSHUA DREAMSCAPE: 804,949 first-week sales
Released in South Korea on October 19, 2026, DREAMSCAPE topped Hanteo’s weekly album chart with 804,949 copies sold by October 25. For JEONGHAN and JOSHUA, the total marks a major milestone for their first release together as a unit.
The album sold more than 650,000 copies on its release day, setting a reported first-day sales record for a K-pop unit album. Sales over the following six days pushed the opening-week total past 800,000 copies.
Two Oricon No. 1 rankings, plus Billboard Japan
In Japan, DREAMSCAPE reached No. 1 on Oricon’s Weekly Album Ranking and No. 1 on its Weekly Combined Album Ranking, both dated November 2. The combined ranking uses points derived from physical sales, downloads and streams, so its 67,248 points are distinct from the roughly 66,000 CDs sold.
| Chart | Result | Reporting basis |
|---|---|---|
| Hanteo Weekly Album Chart (South Korea) | No. 1 — 804,949 copies | First-week album sales, Oct. 19–25 |
| Oricon Weekly Album Ranking (Japan) | No. 1 — about 66,000 copies | Japanese physical album sales |
| Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking (Japan) | No. 1 — 67,248 points | Physical + download + streaming points |
| Billboard Japan Top Albums Sales | No. 1 — 73,736 copies | Japan chart week of Oct. 19–25 |
Billboard Japan also ranked the album at No. 1 on Top Albums Sales, reporting 73,736 copies for October 19–25. Billboard Japan and Oricon use different sales data, so their figures should be read as separate chart results rather than added together.
A dance challenge reaches 260 million views before release
Before the album’s release, a dance challenge featuring the duo had already attracted attention online. News coverage published on November 2 reported that the challenge had surpassed 260 million cumulative views. That figure refers to challenge content, not views of the official 12 o’clock music video.
The challenge helped introduce the duo’s choreography before fans could hear the full record. Once DREAMSCAPE arrived on October 19, its opening-week sales and subsequent Japanese chart positions showed the scale of the release across both markets.
Watch the official 12 o’clock music video
The title track, 12 o’clock, draws on the disco and funk of the 1970s and 1980s, bringing rhythmic guitar and a lively bass line into a dance-rock arrangement. JEONGHAN and JOSHUA’s vocals carry the song through the album’s recurring contrast between nighttime dreams and daytime ambitions.

Beyond 12 o’clock: the sounds of DREAMSCAPE
The seven-track mini album offers more than its dance-rock title song. The two members also explore house music, R&B and individual solo tracks, giving listeners a wider sense of what this new unit can do.
- Like you: A house track built around synthesizers and a rhythmic chorus.
- One plus one: An R&B and soul song with guitar and jazz-influenced piano.
- Not Personal: JOSHUA’s solo track combines alternative rock with a funk groove; he contributed to its lyrics and composition.
- Coloring: JEONGHAN’s solo song draws on electro-house and playful synthesizers; he participated in writing the lyrics.
