Circle Digital Chart Top 50: October 18–24, 2026 — How Circle Scores Work

CIRCLE DIGITAL CHART · WEEK 43, 2026

Tracking period: October 18–24, 2026 · Published October 29, 2026 · Korea’s weekly digital-music chart

THIS WEEK’S NO. 1A2O LITE — “NEON”

Circle Index: 27,784,660

The song also topped the weekly streaming and Global K-pop charts, according to the chart operator’s October 29 announcement. These are three separate charts, not three parts of one score.

What Is Circle Chart?

Circle Chart, formerly known as Gaon Chart, is a Korean music-industry chart operated by the Korea Pop Music Industry Association. Rather than reflecting a single streaming platform, its Digital Chart combines usage data across participating services and several types of digital-music activity. It measures a different form of popularity from a music-show trophy, album shipments, social-media attention or Spotify’s worldwide charts.

This edition covers week 43 of 2026 (October 18–24), the latest weekly chart announced on October 29. Circle Chart normally publishes weekly rankings on Thursdays at 11 a.m. Korea time; holidays can change the schedule.

How Does Circle Calculate Its Digital Score?

Circle’s official explanation says the Digital Chart applies service/product-based weights to eligible usage counts and then adds the weighted results. Its main components are streaming, paid digital downloads, BGM (online background music) and V Coloring usage. The published result is called the Circle Index.

Conceptual calculation

Circle Digital Index = Σ (eligible streaming, download, BGM and V Coloring activity × the applicable service/product weight)

This illustrates the method, not the exact proprietary arithmetic. Circle’s public FAQ does not publish a set of numerical multipliers that would allow readers to reconstruct each song’s score independently.

A subscription stream and an individual track purchase are not automatically treated as identical actions. Circle says the applicable weights depend on the music-service product and neighboring-rights royalty considerations; there is no fixed percentage automatically assigned to each music platform. For example, the same type of individual download on Melon and Bugs is treated alike, and equivalent unlimited-streaming plays on Genie and FLO are treated alike.

Important: A Circle Index of 27,784,660 for “NEON” does not mean 27,784,660 unique listeners, streams or sales. Nor can the total be divided into exact streaming/download percentages without additional information from Circle. It is an aggregate weighted index for the tracking week, not a play count.

Circle Digital Chart — Weekly Top 50

The table below presents this week’s 50 chart positions, along with the preceding week’s positions and editorial movement calculations. Track and artist names follow publicly available chart listings; Korean-language tracks use established English titles where available; otherwise KWaveScope uses faithful English translations. Previous week refers to Circle week 42. NEW means not present in last week’s Top 50 listing or a newly entered song; for entries moving in from outside that range, the prior position is shown when independently confirmed.

Rankings were cross-checked against the chart operator’s week-43 press announcement for the leading positions and independently indexed weekly chart listings for the Top 50. The week-over-week movement labels are KWaveScope calculations, not an additional official Circle ranking. The operator publishes individual Circle Index figures on its own chart; KWaveScope does not reproduce unverifiable song-by-song scores.

What the Rankings Tell Us This Week

A2O LITE’s “NEON” held the top position on the overall digital ranking and led two other Circle categories. SOYEON moved into second place with “I’m gonna TOESA,” while the AI music project MEOMURU reached third with “The Adult I Dreamed Of.” RESCENE filled both fourth and fifth with “LOVE ATTACK” and “Deja Vu.” That balance between a breakout leader, established tracks and an AI-linked entry offers a more interesting picture than simply listing a winner.

The different chart types also explain why rankings can diverge. IVE’s “Looks Can Kill” led the separate Download Chart, while “NEON” topped the overall Digital Chart. Downloads may favor fresh releases and strong purchasing activity; the Digital Chart also reflects other usage types. Neither result conflicts with the other.

How Is This Different From Music Bank, Inkigayo and Music Core?

The three television music programs award points under their own show-specific systems, which may combine sources such as digital performance, albums, broadcast exposure, voting and other factors. Circle’s Digital Chart is not a TV-show score and does not use the music-show programs’ point totals. Comparing both can reveal when a song’s broader listening performance and its broadcast-chart performance move in different directions.

Circle Chart vs. Spotify — Korea and the World

The Circle Digital Chart is focused on its reported digital-music market activity in Korea, while Spotify’s Global Weekly chart describes streams on Spotify across the world. They do not measure identical services, formats or geographic scopes, and their weekly tracking windows may differ. A song ranking first on one need not rank first on the other. KWaveScope will treat them as complementary indicators rather than combine their points.
