ITZY is a five-member South Korean group formed by JYP Entertainment. YEJI, LIA, RYUJIN, CHAERYEONG and YUNA debuted together with IT’z Different in February 2019. The debut single DALLA DALLA introduced a direct, self-affirming voice that became a recurring thread in the group’s music. Their performances combine tightly coordinated ensemble work with room for each member’s different vocal and dance character.

The group’s catalogue moves between bright pop, electronic production and more forceful performance tracks. WANNABE, Not Shy and LOCO provide different entry points, while the 2024 releases BORN TO BE and GOLD show how their sound continued to change. Lia’s absence from the initial BORN TO BE promotion was temporary; the five-member lineup returned together for GOLD. Her hiatus should not be mistaken for a permanent membership change.

Individual songs require careful labelling. BORN TO BE introduced member solo tracks within an ITZY album, while YEJI’s AIR in 2025 and YUNA’s Ice Cream in March 2026 are separate solo releases. Motto, released on May 18, 2026, also includes songs first presented in the members’ individual stages on the TUNNEL VISION tour. A solo track on a group record and an independently released solo album are different milestones.

On stage, ITZY’s identity depends on both precision and personality. The group’s world tours have brought its choreography-led catalogue to audiences outside Korea, and the members have discussed using individual stages to reveal different sides of themselves. All five renewed their contracts with JYP in 2025. Their fan community is known as MIDZY.
